Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 08/12/2026

Welcome to CatechismHub. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CatechismHub website, including any content, functionality, and services offered through it (the “Service”). By creating an account, browsing, purchasing, or listing content on CatechismHub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What CatechismHub Is

CatechismHub is an online marketplace that connects individuals who create Catholic catechetical and religious education resources (“Sellers”) with individuals and organizations seeking to use those resources (“Buyers”). CatechismHub itself does not create, own, or guarantee the accuracy of listed content unless explicitly stated otherwise. CatechismHub is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially endorsed by any diocese, parish, or the Catholic Church.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.

3. Buyer Terms

When you purchase a resource on CatechismHub, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use that resource for your own personal, classroom, or parish catechetical purposes. Unless a specific listing states otherwise, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly republish purchased content, in whole or in part, as your own or for commercial gain.

4. Seller Terms

Sellers who list content on CatechismHub agree to the separate Vendor Terms, which cover content ownership, the commission structure, and payout details. A summary of the key financial terms:

  • Sellers keep 85% of every sale. CatechismHub retains a flat 15% commission. This rate applies uniformly to all sellers — there are no tiers, subscription fees, or volume requirements that change this percentage.
  • Free listings incur no fees. A $0 listing is delivered directly to the buyer with no payment processing involved.
  • Sellers retain full ownership and copyright of their original content. Listing on CatechismHub grants CatechismHub a license to host, display, and facilitate the sale of that content — it does not transfer ownership.
  • Sellers may list their content on other platforms as well; CatechismHub does not require exclusivity.

Full details are set out in the Vendor Terms, which every seller must accept separately during registration.

5. Content Standards

All content listed on CatechismHub must:

  • Be either the seller’s original work or content they have clear rights to distribute
  • Be appropriate for a faith formation context — free of sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material
  • Not contain material that clearly contradicts defined Catholic doctrine

Sellers self-certify that their listings align with the Catechism of the Catholic Church at the time of submission. CatechismHub relies on this self-certification along with community flagging and periodic volunteer review, but does not independently verify every listing before it goes live, and does not guarantee doctrinal accuracy of any individual resource. See Section 9 for the full disclaimer.

6. Payments

All payments are processed through a third-party payment processor. CatechismHub does not directly store your full payment card information. By making a purchase, you authorize the applicable charge to your chosen payment method.

7. Refunds

Because CatechismHub sells digital, instantly downloadable content, all sales are generally final once a file has been downloaded. If a purchased file is corrupted, missing, or does not match its listing description, contact us at [support email] within [X] days of purchase for a resolution, which may include a replacement file or a refund at CatechismHub’s discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

The CatechismHub name, logo, and site design are the property of CatechismHub and may not be used without permission. Individual listed content remains the property of its respective seller, as described in Section 4.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

CatechismHub is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. CatechismHub does not warrant, and expressly disclaims, that any listed content has been officially reviewed, approved, or endorsed by the Catholic Church, any diocese, or any ecclesiastical authority. Doctrinal self-certification and community flagging are tools to support quality and trust, not a guarantee of accuracy. Buyers are encouraged to exercise their own judgment, particularly for content used in formal sacramental preparation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CatechismHub and its owner(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on the doctrinal accuracy of any listed content.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CatechismHub from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or content you upload or purchase.

12. Termination

CatechismHub may suspend or terminate any account, at its discretion, for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting [support email].

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [your state], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in [your county/state].

14. Changes to These Terms

CatechismHub may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated “Last updated” date above.

15. Contact
