1989 — Where it all began

The Beginning

Born from a passion for sweets

Cima Confections began its sweet story in 1989. Starting by producing die-formed lollipops, Cima sold laydown bags, bulk, and strip-o-pops to a variety of retail channels.

Cima is also a private label confection supplier and has been for many years. Cima holds the belief that the key to a successful business partnership is to offer exceptional quality, great service and high profit margin.

The Founding

Cima launches with die-formed lollipops, serving retail channels across laydown bags, bulk, and strip-o-pops.

2001

A New Vision

Cima sees an opportunity in the deposited gourmet lollipop category and begins developing its initial manufacturing capabilities.

2003

Yummy·Lix® is Born

The Yummy·Lix® gourmet lollipop is introduced to the market — setting a new standard for taste and quality.

2012

Scaling Up

New manufacturing equipment added to increase the capacity of Yummy·Lix® production.

In 2001, Cima saw an opportunity in the deposited gourmet lollipop category. With only one key player in this category, Carousel®, Cima began developing its initial manufacturing capabilities. The Yummy·Lix® gourmet lollipop was introduced to the market in 2003.

The taste profile and smooth mouth feel of the deposited Yummy·Lix® gourmet lollipops set a new standard for taste and quality.

Cima continued to grow, and in 2012 was able to add more manufacturing equipment to increase the capacity of Yummy·Lix® production. Now, with its manufacturing in place, Cima is eagerly pursuing all classes of retail sales.
